VANLIFE: MY WAY

Vanlife My Way: Following Freedom Between Mosques and the Ocean
For me, vanlife is about simplicity, freedom, and living close to what matters most. I choose wild spots instead of crowded campsites, and I follow a daily rhythm that keeps life peaceful, practical, and connected to nature.
At night, I usually park near mosques. It feels safer, the areas are often watched or guarded, and there is a calm atmosphere after sunset. I also appreciate being close to prayer, allowing me to attend Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr with ease. It gives structure to the journey and a sense of balance wherever I am.
In the morning, after prayer, I fill my jerrycan with water and prepare for the day ahead. Then I head toward the beach, where most of my day is spent. The coast becomes my living room, playground, and escape.
There, I swim in the ocean, fish when conditions are good, relax in the sun, and enjoy the freedom of open space. Some days I practice surfing, and when the wind and location are right, I enjoy paragliding too. Every day feels different, shaped by the weather, the sea, and the road.
After sunset, I move again toward a mosque, ready to rest and begin the cycle once more.
This is vanlife my way—not expensive, not complicated, and not rushed. Just movement, faith, nature, and the freedom to live each day simply.

I move from one spot to another without hurry. If a place feels good, peaceful, and comfortable, we stay as long as we like—two days, five days, sometimes even a full week. There are no strict schedules. It all depends on how we feel, and my wife shares the same passion for this simple lifestyle. Once a week, we buy everything we need, then return to our quiet rhythm. We bake bread, cook our meals, drink tea or coffee while watching the sea, and spend time reading novels. Days pass gently, without pressure, and we almost stop noticing time. In this way of life, we are never bored—there is always peace, freedom, and something beautiful in the moment.
