Why I Choose to Travel Slowly

There was a time when I believed that traveling meant seeing as many places as possible. I rushed from one destination to another, trying to visit every famous landmark before moving on. The result? I came home with hundreds of photos but very few real memories.
Everything changed when my wife and I started traveling by campervan.
Instead of following a schedule, we began following our feelings. Sometimes we stay one night in a place. Other times, we stay for a week. If the beach is peaceful, the weather is good, and we enjoy the atmosphere, why leave?
A typical day is wonderfully simple. We wake up near the ocean, make coffee or Moroccan tea, read a few pages of a novel, take a walk, swim, fish, or simply sit and watch the waves. If the wind is right, I go paragliding. If not, we enjoy the silence.
We shop only once a week, bake our own bread, cook our meals, and live with very little. Surprisingly, we never feel bored. In fact, slowing down has made every day richer.
This way of traveling has taught me that the best experiences are often unplanned. Some of my favorite places in Morocco were never mentioned in guidebooks. They were simply places where we decided to stop and stay.
That is the spirit behind Morocco Unrushed.
This website is not about checking destinations off a list. It is about discovering Morocco at your own pace, enjoying nature, meeting local people, and realizing that sometimes the best part of a journey is having nowhere else you need to be.
Thank you for joining us on this adventure. I hope Morocco Unrushed inspires you to travel a little slower and enjoy every moment.
